Lots of information about Bengals

Yes, Bengals like other pets :-) Holly

I try to limit the people I deal with... less problems that way.
Holly is one of the folks my wife and I trust 100 %.
We have sent a very special cat to her, we have received a great
Bengal girl from her, and she has designed our web. I very much appreciate that this woman’s word is
as ‘good as gold’ she does not promise what she cannot deliver and her judgments are solid in all
areas.
In short I would trust Holly with the keys to my
safe, she is selfless probably to a fault and wonderful in all ways you will not be
disappointed with her.
Best, David

This was Hoyt's first night with us,
and you can see it was a match made in heaven!... Hoyt sleeps w/our mini
Poodle in the Poodle's bed, etc. He has claimed everything as "his". Our other cat and
Standard Poodle are whipped- he has them right where he wants them. Ha, Ha.

Trendar Temptation
Is the first breeding Bengal for
Joy and Keith
Temptation is STUNNING....
Hi Holly...Temptation is doing great. She loves the fish tank :-)
& the new kitty condo/jungle gym we are building. She has
made friends with both our adult cats. She'll still yell at them if she doesn't like something,
but she just meows loudly - never growls & then goes about her business. She is still very
affectionate & sleeps on my lap every time I get on the computer.
We have all fallen in love with her.
Keith & I love to watch her from a distance and just admire how pretty she is

Photos from Grandma Kelley... who watched Tuna while Emma was being born.
Family Photo
Zeus, Brittany, Emma, Jason & Tuna
Holly,
Here are some photos of our trip to meet Emma.
Tuna was a
wonderful traveler. He meowed one time - when Allen asked me to find a new radio station Tuna
agreed with him!
He made himself right at home - like he has always lived there. Jason & Brittany bought a
puppy, a
French bulldog named Zeus. He and Tuna both think they are the boss. We call the one photo "Talk
to the Paw". Tuna hopped right in the tub for Emma's first real bath, too.
We miss Tuna but our old cat Rosie is very happy to be an "only-cat" again.
Kelley

Holly,
We enjoy keeping up with all the new babies on your website.
Jason and family will be moving to Fort Bragg soon so Tuna has come back to Grammy &
Grandpa until they find a new home.
Emma turns one this weekend- she calls Tuna "Bubby" when she sees him on the
webcam!
Hope to see you next time we are in WV.

Thank You Kelley, for keeping me updated and letting me know how the
family is doing.

HI Holly,
How difficult it must be parting with those little treasures! I do not know how you do it.
Guépard is truly a treasure! He was "at it" again last night and this morning - taking time to
follow me around to get petted between play; how cute is that?
I think I got some pics last night with the Bengals playing together; it's hard when they're on the
move so much.
Guépard is tearing around the house as if he owns it after only 3 days!
He's been licked in his little face by Norton, Norman, Shimba, and Malinka (the little black shelter
boy).
Today, Maxim and Calliope are 6 months old! I can only imagine their beauty at 12 months! WOW! I got
them in on the pics last night around the "mouse-in-the-track" toy. The crinkle sack is crinkling a
lot!
I think that his name will be: Guépard Bijou d'Or ( French for Cheetah Golden
Gem) that way, his mother's name " Gold Futures" is in there somewaht as well. What do you think?
He's a gem so I thought I'd incorporate that in his full registered name.
Hugs.......Inge

If you are thinking about adding a
retired cat to your home, you might learn from the patience of Irv and
Janice.... Thank You for giving a wonderful retirement home to one
of my girls.
Hi Holly
I cannot speak for everyone, but in general well adjusted animals, humans and cats, can usually work
things out with new introductions into the family.
The interesting thing for us was that Winnie was raised in a
cattery with other friends, while Artie was raised with humans. She knew how to act and he did not!
I will point out that he weighs around 18 pounds (not fat) and Winnie is around
7 pounds. Size is no issue here.

Artimus (Artie) is now six-years old. He is a large male (~18 pounds) that was born at Trendar
Bengals (Holly's Farm). He can only be described as a spirited young man that brings a lot of
excitement to our family! When Artie was five, we adopted Winne from Trendar Bengals (Holly's Farm).
Holly was retiring her from the breading program at Trendar. Winne is 3-years old and weighs in at 7
pounds. The question arose, how do we best introduce Winne into a one cat household. With Holly's
help we arrived at a plan. We kept the two cats separated for two weeks; one cat on one side of a
door and one on the other. There was lots of spitting and hissing that did not calm much with time.
On the third week, Winne was put into her pet cage and introduced to Artie for a couple of days for
short periods of time so as not to stress either. We then opened the cage and let them work it out.
Within a couple of hours they were sleeping together on the couch. The routine of chase and play is
set in the morning and evening. Great fun is had by all! Artie is a much happier man now that Winne
is part of the family.

Both of them are confident animals and two of them are engaged at some level most of the time. Artie
is a much happier animal now that Winnie is part of the family. For us humans, we really enjoy the
interplay between the two. Please feel free to share the photos and my notes with others if it will
help.
I hope that one day Janice and I will have the chance to meet you. We have been thinking of buying a
Bengal kitten, but that will have to be in the future. When it comes time I be sure to be knocking
on you door.
Our best to you Holly.

Hi Holly,
This is Leslie I bought a female kitten from you in
1996.
I still have the first kitty Chaos. She is wonderful!! She is still as lovable
and playful as the day I got her from you !! She sets with me while I am sewing at night and
plays with my 6 year old son
all day! She still sleeps with us to!
She only had the tiny spots instead of the big spots.
I am interested in a silver kitten or cat from you Holly, with big spots.
I had the misfortune of buying 2 kittens from a lady in ..... both died from kidney failure ... and
then she disappeared. I was out
a lot of money and heart brake.
Thanks, Leslie 1-2007

Another happy Trendar Kitten

Princess Ko, Thank You Polly W.
You have given this baby a wonderful home

Hi Holly,
I just wanted to give you an update, we named our big spot boy... Cheetoh. he is doing super. its
amazing how he adjusted so quickly to our 2 dogs and 2 other cats.. its like he's always been
here.
I do have to admit he has brought our 2 older cats back to life! he is so entertaining. and not
only does he like the little toys he likes the big toys too! he caught on to the game of fetch
immediately! my husband couldn't believe it when he would bring the toy all the way back to me so
he could play some more. as
I said my other 2 cats are older. when its there time to go, I will be back to
Trendar to get my next
Bengal ! thanks again. Stephanie

Hi Holly,
Juice is now playing in
the Netherlands
Everything went fine, they have treated him very well and the people who were taking care of
him really loved him.
He walks here like he has been here for years and he is very playful and friendly.
He is really a sweet little boy and everything is very interesting to him.
He is even more beautiful then on the pictures.
We are very happy with him and we are very grateful that you have let him come to The Netherlands
and that you have paid for his chip ect.
Thank you very very very much.
I'll send you some pictures.

Hi Holly !
How are you!? I hope you are well!! I just wanted to send you some new pictures. Nala is growing fast
and she is so beautiful! She is very active, so we decided to keep the cats outside of our bedroom during the
night, because she is training her hunting skills very intensive and needs definitely not such a long sleeping
period during nighttime than we do...!
Nala plays with everything, a few days ago she tried to catch something out of that
water bowl! Today she ripped off all the blossoms of my hibiscus and played excessive with her prey! The floor was
sprinkled with pink flakes!
Right now she is purring on my lap, as always when I'm writing an e-mail to you!
Our two cats love each other, Pelle starts to play with toys for the first time and every morning they play for at
least 2 hours hide and seek and catch!!! I'm tired and my
English is poor! I just wanted to say hello.
I wish you a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Tinka

This is Rikki's second favorite toy of all. Last night she had both paws
up to the shoulder down
in the water playing. I am so glad I picked her, she has been a blast to have around. She has learned
the sound of my car pulling into the driveway
so she comes running to greet me when I get home.
Rikki is also doing good with her agility training. I wish that they had those cat agility
competitions a little
closer to home so I could take her to one.
I hope that everything is going well with you.
Take Care

Silver Kitten is Trendar Angel
sire; Bonzai dam; Rio Born 11/01/05
Hi Holly
I just wanted to let you know Angel is doing great! She is about 5 lbs.
now and eats all the time. Her silver color is still beautiful and the
spots are getting darker. She gets along great with Cleo, except for her
obsession to have ALL the toys. Have to buy more mice:) She has been an
excellent addition to our family. David's allergies to the Bengals are
minimal and we LOVE them! Angel is very athletic. She runs and jumps all
the time with no fear of flying through the air! Thanks again for being
patient with all our questions before and after we bought her. Thanks also
for making the arrangements to fly her to us. You produce fine, quality
Bengals and we will definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a
great cat.

new friends come in all sizes and colors

Hi! If you are here looking for an outstanding Bengal breeder
that won’t just sell you a kitten and then disappear, look no further!
Holly is the best of them. I have purchased several kittens from
Holly and have never been disappointed in the quality.
Want proof? Take a look at her Queen page and look at Sha’ri, or take a look at her Males page and look
at Rya’c. Both are adults now
that Holly sold as breeders to me. Rya’c has been shown in Ohio and
gained points for his color and conformation. Unfortunately when my divorce started
I was unable to show my cats any longer or take them with me to my apartment.
I spoke with Holly and she came to my rescue. I am proof that she will stand
beside you and your purchase. She also is
caring for my beautiful Kendra. Bishopsbengals Kendra is not from Trendar breeding. As I was looking for
breeders,
Holly reminded me that not all of my bloodline should be Trendar and she recommended Karen
Bishop. Holly will help you find what you are looking for if she does not have it. Truly, there is
not a better breeder or
friend than Holly Borchard of Trendar Bengals.

sold
Hi Holly
I just want to let you know that we went to the vet today and everything is
fine!
When we came, Peter, the vet, called his wife to come and look at that
"awesome amazing looking kitty"! His almost eighteen years old daughter Lisa
said: "Dad, please, I changed my mind: I don't want a car for my eighteenth
birthday! I want a cat like this one!"
Yesterday my husbands cousin and his family came for a late breakfast. The
two girls, 11 and 14 years old, played with Nala all the time, or I should
better say, Nala played with them! She is not shy, not at all, so friendly
with everyone and always ready to play! And when there is time for a rest,
she joins us as well!
Hugs,
Tinka

Hello Holly,
I just wanted to give you a little update on our little guy. He is doing very well. After starting
out small, he has grown quite a bit in the past months and pretty much runs the show.
The pics don't really do him justice, he is gorgeous, I'll have to catch him in the sunlight.
I can't wait to purchase another fine Bengal from you in the future. I know now
that I will always have at least one in my house at all times and hopefully they'll come from
you.

My wife and I could be more pleased with our purchase of a marble
Bengal female. We made the purchase for our daughter for Christmas 2004. Marble (that what my daughter
named her) has been great. Everything you told us and the information on your website was true down to
drinking water out of her bowl with her paw in it. Marble has been a great addition to our family. We
were always dog people and never owned a cat. Thanks to you we are now cat people.
This experience has been great and would travel another 8-10 hours to purchase from you again.
Keep up the great work. Have a great summer.

Hello Holly,
Just wanted to update you on how well Raja is doing. She is the BEST cat ever!
Even people who state that they don't like cats and then meet her just love her!
Her personality is superb.
We couldn't have asked for a better cat. She loves to be around us and watch everything we do in the
house. She takes naps on our stomachs, chest or legs if we are lying on the couch watching TV.
She comes when called and has been perfect with the house training. She has toys everywhere in the
house. When I work from my house she assumes her usual "curl up next to mommy's feet on the carpet" in my
home office. She jumps into our bed immediately after we get into bed to go to sleep every night. Lately,
she has been beating us to the bed! She sleeps with us through the night on the nice down
comforter.
Thank you for such a wonderful kitten. I post updates about her now and then on her webpage:

Hope this message finds you well. -Tina

Trendar Pilot
posing
with a P.E.T. Phantom
(Positron
Emission Tomography)
Pretty scientific stuff for a Bengal :-)
|
|
|
Hi Holly,
I took these pictures with the (Positron
Emission Tomography) "P.E.T. phantom (these are used by
'medical' facilities with P E T scanners to assure quality imaging).
I had to attend an annual meeting in New
Orleans this last spring and didn't want to lug around that big phantom,
so decided to pose Pilot with it and put the pictures in a binder with one
of the Pilot pictures on the cover. It really drew people to the binder
and some people actually dragged others over to see the cat ....
A physicist out of Columbia in NYC has
labeled Pilot the "P E T mascot" and is incorporating his
picture into his lectures. Pilot is such a character. He'll be two in
April and is definitely in the adolescent stage! He is absolutely crazy
about the little furry toy mice. Often we find only the hard plastic
bodies scattered about. We have to buy the mice by the 10 pack! So
many people that I know are not "cat" people, absolutely love
Pilot. And a few have actually reconsidered there cat stance!
He's been a source of much entertainment!
He is a one great cat !!!
Take care,
Carolyn

In October of 2004 we purchased a silver Spotlite female kitten from Holly as a
companion for our first
Bengal Jester. We named her "Bandit". Holly during the weeks of anticipation prior to
the cat show, was always there to answer any questions we had in introducing Jester and his sister
Bandit.
Holly is an excellent breeder and very knowledgeable.
We are so happy with Bandit and we just love her so much! She is top Trendar quality and
Purrr-sonality! If we had a larger home, we definitely would purchase more Trendar Bengals from Holly
Borchard.

Hello Holly,
I wanted to drop you an update on one of your "babies".
We
were adopted by "Spot" three years ago and he has changed our
lives dramatically! He has been a joy and a little pill all in one
spotted package! He is a large cat with even larger curiosity and
personality. I cannot say we were not warned, however.
We named him "Mac" after the duty station Fort MacNair here in
the DC area, my husband was stationed there. Mac and our dog conspire
daily and get away with most pranks. He will open the pantry and knock
down treats to the dog and she will tear them open so they may both
enjoy the delicacies.
We love him and he often has time for us. He is especially fond of my
husband.
He goes looking for him and will meow quite loudly if he cannot find
him.
He also will play "Chase" with my husband and run after him.
He enjoys sitting on the side of the tub while we bath, and enjoys a sip of warm water. He has only
fallen in
once, once was really enough!!!!
An update on his antics. Yesterday he "broke into" our
daughter's room and liberated her hamster along with his cohort, our Abby. They did not harm the
little fellow but did
take him on a tour of the three levels of our home. My husband found the cats milling about the
basement with
great attention to a trunk there, sure enough the little Methias was tucked safely behind. The
little guy
was shaken but had only a little nip on his back. That
is one luck little rodent !!!!
If I had a larger home I would have more Bengals but I am afraid I would
have to put away anything they might like to bat off the shelf, counter,
dresser, etc.........
SO, that is the update. Thanks for raising such great cats.
Fondly, Melissa JUNE 2003

Hi
Holly, "re
F3 male pet, Shado"
I hope this note finds you and your family well. Just writing to give
you an update on little Shado. He's doing very well, and growing by
leaps and bounds!
After I had him about two weeks, I introduced him to 'uncle' Arun. Shado
adores him, and follows him everywhere. In fact, Arun gets quite fed up
with being incessantly pestered! I keep them separate when I'm gone, and
give Arun a little space sometimes. It's going well, though, because
Shado is beginning to recognize when 'uncle' is grouchy and doesn't want
to play.
Everything is going well health wise. He has never missed the litter pan
even once, and eats like a horse =)
I am really loving having him. I love his markings, and now that his
face is getting longer, I drool over his exotic profile. Thanks for
raising such a well socialized, delightful kitten. =)
Have a great weekend!
You and your cats get two enthusiastic thumbs up from me!! =)

Teal'c
You should have seen Teal’c! He loves energetic mini dachshunds.
They have become his playmates. If they don’t chase him, he’ll lie
in front of them, run in front of them, or even pounce them to get them
to play chase with him! It is so funny to watch.
I have to laugh at him.
He does understand when Russ or I are
eating! The moment he hears the silverware hit the plate he shows up.
It’s funny cause he acts like we fixed the meal for him, and how dare
we keep pushing him back from our food! LOL!
Can you picture the scene? He’s awful cute about it, and I know we are
developing a bad habit, cause if we have something that a little
wouldn’t be bad for him, he ends up getting a taste.
Last night he was also able to jump straight up onto out bed. Normally
he uses a box by the bed to get up, but last night I think he was to
tired to go around, so he used his litter and then jumped up on the bed.
Anyway, I thought you would get a chuckle out of the update. I hope this
finds you feeling well.
I’m thinking of you!

People ask how a new
kitten will get along with the older kitten or cat that is their spoiled
pet.
This is a note from Norma on how
her very spoiled 5 month old Sasha accepted the new Kitten Tai.
Thought you might like to see how "Tia" is getting
along. She and "Sasha" are getting along fine.
It was touch and go at first. Sasha didn't want her in the house
so we had to keep her in a large pet carrier when we are at work and at
night. Sasha has slowly gotten used to her. Tia had Sasha down yesterday
trying to "suck titty". Sasha didn't take to that to well. Tia
goes to vet Tuesday evening---Her stitch looks good.
Thank You, Norma, Sasha and Tia

Just wanted to let you know that Pilot is doing
well! He gets along exceptionally well with our 10 year old male (the
black cat), they are inseparable, although I'm sure Tucker wishes he had
a little more "me" time! Pilot has managed to actually get our
18 year old female (the gray one) to "tolerate" him - no small
feat! He is definitely a "talker", but manages to sound more
like a "complainer". He's already leash trained and we're
taking him out for little car trips to get him used to traveling. He is
just too cute! So, all is well in the MacFarlane
household.

We have been checking in on your web site regularly; looks great.
Rosie is doing very well although we do not believe she

any cat. She is the sweetest and most interesting buddy you could ask

am to hear that the lack of shedding is part of their genetic makeup.
Put that in your web page facts, and I bet you double your
business.
I am sending off your web address to a friend of mine, whose son is
allergic, but he had no problem with an hour of cuddling Spot. She is
such a little love-kitten
Take care, Penny, Gary and

It was
not a tough decision for this family. They all fell in love
with Charo. Even after the boys went "cat-fishing" for
an hour, they still liked Charo best. 6-00

Ziggy
is growing out of the fuzzies. His coloring is improving all the time.
He has a nice rufous color on face, legs and spine but more brown tones
with good contrast on the side. The lines are still separating into dark
brn./blk. circular rosettes. He also has some glitter. His shape and
alignment seems to be perfect. His temperament and health are
outstanding.
Thank You,
Kelli

As I am
typing right now, he is sitting on my lap and giving me a strange massage with his front paws. (He is now
falling
asleep!) What an amazing creature! He never leaves me alone.
He never scratches me with his claws. I've had so many cats s I was
growing up, but never seen anything like this one. He just woke up from
his 3 minutes nap and now constantly talking to me, climbing to my shoulder
and snuggling my hair.
I think I will have a lot of questions. I will definitely keep in touch
with you! Thanks again!!!
Yours, Yoshi and Snufkin 6-00

a video!!! You may want to send me more cards.....I posted 5 of them and
still have a few.
Thanks for my baby girl.....Don't think I'll get her registered as I
just want her to be my baby girl.....Vet said around 6 months for the

Before
we got home one of the kittens had pushed his way onto the blanket in
the back seat with the Pug! She likes cats but has never shared her
blanket with one before .
Thank you for such wonderful creatures. 6-00

Holly,
Puma wanted me to show you the latest pictures of her. She and the two
boys are real close.
I could not express to
you how much joy she has brought me. When I was off with my operation
she kept me laughing even when I felt like crying. Everyone that visits
thinks she is beautiful and I have had several people who have asked
where I got her. I always let them have your web site.
I hope you are both doing OK.
Thanks again for our Princess Puma.
Love, Sandy

After
nearly a year I went to visit 2 male F2 Bengals in their new home.
I was thrilled to see how wonderfully they were behaved and how much
they are loved by the whole family :-) One will be in next years school
year-book. will put that photo here when I get a copy.

I have
to tell you one on Jag, the other night he was at the foot of the bed,
and bit my foot twice in a row in the same place. Not hard enough to
draw blood or anything, but I sure felt it. A few minutes later, I said
"Jaggy, bite daddy's foot now, you bit mommy's", he struck out
like a little snake, bit Ron's foot and was back by my feet in a flash.
Turns out, my feet was in his way, and I had to arrange them around him.
He won't move over for his humans, they move for him. He has caused a
few unusual sleeping positions, and morning aches!
Take care, and God Bless, Patsy

Cinder is definitely
making friends. Never in my life have I seen such a well-adjusted cat.
He takes everything in stride.....regardless of his beauty, he is truly
a special little kitty.
Shawn is doing fine with her little girl as well, although I think she
is rather miffed that the kitten has decided that Shawn's husband is her
favorite :-)

11-00
.. Lee came to WV ( while up this way visiting his friends) and
picked up his kitten, at the same time he took a kitten home for one of
his co workers, Shawn...

Dear
Holly and Geoff
Trendar's LaDamma has made lots of new friends here.
She has won many titles in our shows; some of her kittens have shown
well also.
Please come to Rio and stay with us in our home.

Mrs.
Rosa says "You have given us 2 of the most wonderful pets that we
have ever shared our home with. They are so active and mischievous, but
that is OK, we could not live without them."
|

|
Dr and
Mrs. Behan say " We could not believe what happened the first
time we laid Meaza on the floor to nap. Shiba, heavy with kittens,
sat down and would not leave that spot. She stayed, singing
lullabies until Meaza woke up. It was like a guard dog watching over our
baby.
Thank You for such for letting us have Shiba."

Kaleen, known on
the www as Kayroller is never far from her dog and cat. Mrs. Bishop says
" Holly, giving Dink to Kaleen is the best thing that has ever
happened to her. He is so entertaining, and a constant companion,
even better than Bear, the dog that stays by her side. When Kay
leaves her chair Dink plays and waits for her return."
UPDATE APRIL 2009, Dink is still doing GREAT ! ! at over 10 years old !

George
is a quiet man who works hard, he loves his cats for relaxing at home.
George says " I love all cats, but Especially your Bengals."
Like George, many people sit on my floor for hours playing with
and picking out the kitten that fits their personality and taste.
