Holly starts dating again...
more like Learning who Holly is and what she wants...

1. My cape is in the laundry.  summer 2008

I enjoyed his e mails and decided to accept his offer to come along on my drive back to Chicago for my court date. to be finished with Tom Lynn.

he showed up in dirty clothes
still gave me a nice hug and we left
I do not want someone less healthy of body and mind than myself.

with athletes foot and skin rash there was no way I was going to put my bare skin next to his.

He asked, and I obliged, to eat at expensive restaurants. it was MY trip so I paid....
He talked a lot and the more I heard the less I likes where I was at. a childhood worse then my own he left him lacking in a few areas.
Poor relationship choices had left him living in an x wife's garage with no running water for over a year (probably the reason for lack of body cleanliness)
Poor financial choices and dreaming, scheming to make big money had left him ready to declare bankruptcy....
Now tell me again why I would choose to have a relationship with someone like this???

2. Funny but maybe not honest summer 2008

a great x rated sense of humor he kept me laughing all the time we were together.

telling me about going to his neighbor's house, catching her undressed she tried to hide her bare boobs with her arms.... no way... She could toss them over her shoulder and squirt milk up her ass :-)
He kept me rolling in laughter....

but I just felt he was nto totally honest and this is important to me... as well as being far to hyper for my slow self :-)

3. Poinsettia season, 2008
Thanksgiving through Christmas.

this was about the 6th day I worked at the Green House and the first time I spent the night with J.
On work day 2, and after meeting the other ladies my age that "Volunteered" to Help Out at the green house
I suspected Jack was asking for free help ... poor Jack working so hard all alone.
I knew this but the green house in winter was Good for me. the warm area filled with bright natural light and brightly colored poinsettias...  J is the kind of man you might want to fix your little sister, or distant cousin  up with... Stable, Safe, dependable, intelligent but not a looker or wealthy or even real witty....

copied from an e mail to friends....

you have all been in on my dating saga, so here is a group letter :-)
I am back from working at the green house, after a night with jack.
I doubt I will be seeing him again.
first he offered me a can of soup for dinner... I settled for some canned tropical fruit and dry cheerio's.
then, after we had sex which was OK....  he fell asleep on the couch watching TV with his feet on my lap.
I watched 2 old movies then went to bed.
He accused me of hogging the bed... He does nto like to cuddle at night.
AM he hopped up and turned on the TV.... I am nto big on TV Anytime...
then offered me cereal and I said NO, I want a good breakfast if I am going to work.
we went out for breakfast then did some of his bank errands before going to the green house. it was like 9 degrees ! ! ! with a dusting of snow blowing around on the ground...
he read the paper until around 10 before making his first delivery. I was in the green house until about 2 with on customers. Finally 2 people came.
I offered a lady a free plant if she bought 3. She bought 5 but Jack came back as she was loading and he was NOT happy about the free plant... plus she found a dried up tiny plant that I said she could have too... OK, so 2 free out of 7...
Jack said he was to upset to make his last delivery :-) Oh My.... I thought I was doing him a favor. he just turns the heat off on Wed night and lets them all die.....

he told me I might as well leave since he was not going out again.  I apologized several times but he was not accepting it.
so I left.

I knew he was not a keeper but now I don't want to see him at all.
He said he wanted my retired cat after Christmas, for his mother.... but now I don't think I want to go up there to see how she likes it.

on top of that, and the freezing weather...  Tim has not called in maybe 4 days..
and Frangelica is in her first Real Heat. After Thriller danced with her for half an hour or more the other boys said she stinks like male and would not breed her... so she is still howling.
If thriller does not settle her today she will go with silver Comstock.... or her father Sweet T.

3 1/2 weeks until I go to FL.... if the vacation company sends conformation for the reservations....
I turned the heat up :-)
think I will make spaghetti then go to bed early. LOL .. Wish I had a fuzzy navel or anything to drink. this house is dry...

ho ho ho :-) Hugs to all and to all a good night...

January 2009
Holly's vacation from hell...

Sipping a cup of exotic tea that Lori gave me, from the Bahamas, and enjoying the delicious aroma of a pot of chicken vegetable soup while I wait for it to finish cooking...
Hope this will help me in nursing my sinus infection that started Jan 14th, day 2 of my trip.

I managed to share the infection with my older sister Lynna, my niece Dr. Tabitha and my good friend Lori of Zawieco Bengals from S Florida.
Lori said she doesn't know how I managed to be as social as I was... She is wiped out. Guess I should have gotten antibiotics for all of us, not just me, while we were wearing coats in the Bahamas....

What an adventure we had, finding our tiny ship among the huge shiny new ships in a busy dock in Ft. Lauderdale... Then finding one of our cabins had been canceled, lacking proper paperwork... Oh what an education. We all managed to board and sail off to warmer(?) waters..

The wood work was nice on the oldest cruise ship in existence. They have ordered a new ship so are not putting money into things like replacing the way to barfed on carpets. Being a small old ship they were filled to about one third capacity and did not have enough money to dock in the Bahamas on day 2... so we anchored at sea. This was the only day of the trip warm enough to lay in the sunshine... Lynna and I braved the cold to put on swim suites and use the wonderful hot tub a couple of times at the time share condo. My listening to the time share sales pitch 'twice' is how we afforded this 'luxury dream vacation'.

Lynna and I went to a dinner show, Arabian Nights. It was wonderful... Lots of beautiful horses that did lots of tricks like dancing, bowing, laying down, chariot races and square dancing.... all the time the rides wore exotic Arabian and other costumes. The floor was often covered in dry ice smoke making the program look surreal. This is definitely the highlight of the trip.

All the local Floridians were saying it has been 10 years since it got and stayed that cold in Florida! I am good at planning a vacation, want to join me next time :-)

This trip was to help me decide if I wanted to move to FL... A 2 day drive home and the further north I got the warmer it got! Though it is snowing outside as I write this. Looks to me like there's no need to pack up and move to Florida for heat. I will just put that money into a nice spa room with hot tub and green plants and make my own warm tropics.. year round... right here in West Virginia :-)
